35 bit Mechanical Programmable pattern tablesaw no dado any width box joint cutting jig
I've made a number of blade-width box cutting jigs before and decided I wanted bigger fingers, not wanting to buy a dado stack I instead bought 5 cheap circular sawblades and made steel spacers to mimic a dado blade, After much experimentation I couldn't get this to work and after only finding difficult or complicated jigs I eventually stumbled across this video ruclips.net/video/EyJof__nTR4/видео.html by www.youtube.com/@woodfather (which got the algorithm running and put me onto a few other similar, helpful videos too) which seemed like a good way to do it. After some experimentation I came up with this, my contribution to the world of finger cutting jigs is that the pattern for the mat...

UBBG Universal Bevel Belt Grinder operation, 13" 8mm 5160 chef's knife bevel grinding.
Просмотров 675Год назад
This is my take on a stopped bevel grinder, set the bevel angle (about 20º total here) set the depth stop (prevents overgrinding) and let it eat steel. The stop/fence shown in this video worked OK but I have since designed one that is adjustable to suit different bevel angles and drive wheel sizes, shown in this video ruclips.net/video/JhCMXC9vYFo/видео.html The ~13"/330mm long bevel took a bit...
UBBG Universal Bevel Belt Grinder features demonstration

This design requires a motor with face and foot mounting, bevel adjustment is provided by rotating the grinder frame on the motor, to keep the video brief I only tightened one bolt but all 4 are tightened during operation. I have only tested the grinder with an...
3018 CNC router "be quiet box" demonstration while cutting a medieval Chartres labyrinth pattern
Просмотров 608Год назад
There are two things I don't like about my 3018 CNC router. It is very slow, and very loud. this box fixes one of those problems. I drafted this labyrinth for CAD practice, I worked out an easy way to do it eventually, i'd tried cutting it out completely but it kept breaking at the end and jamming itself up with bits, this is more practical as a ball bearing ball can run in the groove. I should...

Sprocket and chain time machine *clockbait*
Просмотров 5 тыс.2 года назад
A long time ago I saw a clock that had 12 numbers on a chain that hung from a sprocket that rotated at one number per hour, it seemed kinda cool but not very useful as a clock, so I had the idea to make an anachronistic hours: minutes numerical display clock, I started by designing the numbers and having them laser cut and refining the design until it looked like this, the process of building a...

Making a handle from a double open ended spanner/crescent wrench with bolts where they should be.
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.3 года назад
I had the idea for this a while back but only found some cheap double open ended spanners/wrenches the other day. I've seen a few videos of people using spanners as handles but they drilled through the spanner/wrench and used screws to attach it to the door, I like this way more. I think the handle would look better if it was aligned so the body of the wrench was horizontal (or vertical) I negl...
Crosscut jig for circular saw demo and tired 1.5 A-h battery test.
Просмотров 4043 года назад
I bought an Ozito battery circular saw (the smallest one) a few weeks ago and have been pretty impressed with it so far. This is a demo of a jig I made for cross cutting, much better than using a speed square and allows you to reference off each side of the kerf. I started making a build video of the jig but my camera wasn't cooperating.

Here is an OK way to remove the lid of an oil drum (don't do this on fuel drums, precautions must be taken with those guys) which I thought I needed to record for some reason. I used a cold chisel and hammer, if you were keen you could probably make a big can opener to do this. It puts the fire out but too quickly, supplying air with a fan didn't seem to make it work any better, just letting th...
